Not sure what it is, but we are simply very excited for what is to come in the month of March.
We have been hosting a game called, “Catan” lately in our Studio and I felt the board could be better than it is…so we took on a “Catan” size of project.
Today, we’ve received a package from one of our supplier from Japan, and we couldn’t be more delighted. It took almost an year, but finally they were able to create the lock I had asked for. It still needs a few adjustments, but with the most difficult part (mechanism) done, we remain optimistic for “Theodore” collection.
It so ironically happened that Ellen asked me to customize Cayman right after William has ordered one. It almost felt like making Brothers at once. A small photo op before sending each guy to new home!
Howie has been Sandast Ambassador for years and He & Karli finally came to visit us today. Although we talk via email & phone on regular basis, it felt somewhat special to finally meet and share a few drinks with him & Karli. Oh & we’ve started a new project, “Karli” for her custom bag. Coming soon!
Working on Gloria & Saki’s James Petit in English Tan. One is going to Houston, TX and Saki’s James Petit will be the 1st traveling to Tokyo, Japan. We are very excited!
Tom came to visit our Studio in late December. According to Tom, Kathleen has had this backpack for many years, but is somewhat falling apart & he has been shopping for a long time to find the replacement to no avail. So he has come to ask us to make a custom bag for Kathleen. After a few consultation and meetings with Kathleen, we have begun working on a new backpack.
We had our 1st Raffle @Sandast Studio & Zack won the Grand Prize of Custom Apron. He kept rubbing his tummy & I was worried if we had served him a bad food. Later when I asked, Zack said, “No, it just feels great to rub & touch the leather… I don’t think I will ever take it off”. I was quite relieved to hear from Allyson that Zack reluctantly did take it off before going to bed that night. =)
We had our 1st official game of “Catan” in our Studio & Andrew made some brilliant late moves to capture the win out of nowhere. This was a nail-biter to the finish and we had 2 players at 9 points and 2 at 8 points.
It was a lot of fun and I am glad that Andrew won the 1st game… after all, Andrew introduced me to this game and he is our director of “Catan”.
Every time we work on James Petit, it just brings a lot of smile & happiness.
We have had quite a few inquiries for custom sleeve lately. We are currently working on Graeme’s & Bob’s. Stay tuned!
